I feel strongly that we need to undertake a wholesale review of the governance of the Party - including a review of the constitution, to ensure that members' rights are enshrined within and to ensure that there is transparency of decision making.
As part of my campaign to be one of the Vice Presidents of the National Convention, this is a major priority for me - we all need to know who has the decision-making powers, and how they are being used.
Governance lies at the heart of the success for any organisation - I know from my day-to-day working life what happens when it goes wrong, and how much an organisation is enhanced by getting this right. I want no less for our Party than for it to be properly governed through clear structures and processes.
